Anthony David Gonzalez, a former American tight end, played for 17 seasons with the National Football League. Gonzalez is regarded as to be one of the top tight ends of all time. In addition to being the NFL's leader for receiving yards and third place in total receptions, Gonzalez also was the NFL tight end who had the highest number of receptions.

Gonzalez's claims of retiring from the NFL following 2013 is not the case. On the 15th of March 2013 Gonzalez signed with Falcons the two-year deal worth $14,000,000. Randy Moss retired in 2013 in 2013, and Gonzalez, who was 37 at the time, was able to finish the final year of his career in the position of being the NFL leading receiver yards.
